These illustrations are meant to show the difference between the Contour
wrap around frames and the Universal Fit Frames. They both have advantages.
Obviously the wrap around contour frames are esthetically attractive while
the Universal is "plain Vanilla"...but the Contours are not flexible
fitting...particularly with the changes by the monitor manufacturers causing
the sizes to vary from one manufacturer to another even though the nominal
sizes (diagonals) remain the same (approximately).
LCD monitors are certainly a fine way to save space and energy and if properly
cared for they have a higher life expectancy than CRTs. Our screens aside
from cutting glare and /or producing privacy also protect the fragile LCD
from damage from dust, dirt, grease, fingers and other objects that may
be unthinkingly violating the rather fragile screen surface. Both types
of filter have a high quality optical glass with an anti-glare coating
which increases contrast and helps prevent visual discomfort associated
with computer use. It also eliminates the problem of special cleaners.
Our optical glass can be easily cleaned with any ordinary glass cleaner
and paper towel.
Our contour frame with rubber on the sides helps to insure a secure fit on the monitor wihout requiring any contact with the face of the monitor or any adhesives. The wraparound (contour) Frame for Protector/Clarifiers and Privacy Filters is available in sizes from 14/15" to 21". It is also available in both black and computer beige. We can provide custom cutouts for air vents and the like if required.
